Meet a Mentor

officer McCluney/fire fighter jones

As both a police officer and a firefighter, my role transcends mere protection; it’s about actively engaging with and serving our community. As Officer McCluney, I work to ensure safety and uphold the law, while as Jones, I respond to emergencies and provide crucial fire safety education. In both roles, I also serve as a mentor to the youth in our community.

Being a part of Mapso Legends has allowed me to fulfill this commitment in a unique way. Beyond my duties, I’m deeply involved in mentoring youth and playing basketball with them, using these opportunities to teach valuable life skills both on and off the court. These interactions are not just about sports; they provide a platform to discuss teamwork, leadership, and resilience.

In my dual roles, I see firsthand how community involvement strengthens trust and fosters positive relationships, which are essential for effective policing and firefighting. Whether responding to emergencies, mentoring, or engaging in community events, I aim to build a safer and more connected community.
